Welcoming the First Cohort of the Pathways Programme

Business Launchpad announces the inaugural Pathways Programme cohort of 43 entrepreneurs selected from 143 applicants. Representing diverse industries and aged primarily 22–30, participants receive coaching-focused support to transform early-stage business concepts into viable ventures, backed by funders including The Walcot Foundation and Impetus.

We're delighted to officially welcome the very first cohort of the Pathways Programme, a milestone moment that marks the beginning of many exciting entrepreneurial journeys.

Following an incredibly strong response, 43 participants have been selected from 143 applications, reflecting both the demand for tailored early-stage support and the calibre of aspiring founders joining the programme. From day one, the cohort has brought curiosity, ambition and a clear desire to build businesses with meaning.

A Diverse Mix of Ideas and Industries

One of the most exciting aspects of this cohort is the breadth of industries participants are planning to launch in. From purpose-led brands to innovative services, the range reflects the evolving ambitions of today's founders:

- Health, Wellness & Personal Care

- Food & Beverage

- Creative Industries & Entertainment

- Fashion & Lifestyle

- Fitness & Sports

- Education & Career Services

- Technology & SaaS

- Events & Experiences

- Home & Lifestyle Products

This diversity brings rich peer-to-peer learning opportunities, allowing participants to gain insight not only from coaches and experts, but also from one another.

A Cohort Shaped by Early-Stage Ambition

The majority of the cohort falls within the 22–30 age range, representing founders at a pivotal stage, full of ideas, energy and readiness to take the next step, while seeking the structure, confidence and guidance to do so well.

The Pathways Programme is designed precisely for this moment: helping participants turn early ideas into viable ventures through coaching, practical learning and a supportive entrepreneurial environment.

Support That Makes a Real Difference

Early feedback from participants highlights the impact of the programme's coaching-led approach. One participant shared the following after a recent session:

"The session was incredibly patient, kind and genuinely inspiring. For the first time, I felt truly heard when sharing my idea. I left feeling supported, motivated and much clearer about my next steps."

Moments like this reinforce the importance of creating spaces where founders feel listened to, supported and empowered, values that sit at the heart of the Pathways Programme.

Made Possible with the Support of Our Funders

The launch of the Pathways Programme has been made possible thanks to the generous support of our funders, including The Walcot Foundation, and Impetus. Their commitment to enabling access to opportunity and nurturing early-stage talent is instrumental in helping this cohort take their first confident steps towards entrepreneurship.

Looking Ahead

As the programme unfolds, participants will continue to develop their ideas, build confidence, and gain clarity on their individual paths, supported by experienced coaches, a structured framework and a community of like-minded peers.

We're incredibly proud of this first Pathways cohort and excited to see how their ideas evolve over the coming months. This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to follow the journeys that start here.
